I found my new favorite coffee shop on Instagram, and it’s even better in real life. Cafe Astoria is located in downtown St. Paul and its latte art is out of this world. I’ve never enjoyed creative coffee like this — it’s stunningly colorful and tastes as good as it looks.

Cafe Astoria has been open for about a year. Its an outpost in the cities for coffee and espresso as well as crepes, smoothie bowls, baked goods and salads. The urban shop’s charming neighborhood setting is perfect for a summer afternoon out with friends or a solo trip with a good book or laptop to work.

Their menu is vast and offers a variety of drinks. They serve hot drinks, specialty drinks, cold drinks, smoothies/frappes and more. For inquiring about a specific drink from their social media, you can show them a picture and they will be more than happy to inform you which it is and help you order it.

TIP: Ask for the secret menu. This is where the extravagant Instagrammable latte art drinks are listed. I ordered the rainbow peppermint mocha latte with edible flowers — it was delicious and SO cute. Their offerings are incredible. My coffee loving heart was impressed, and I can’t wait to return.

Cafe Astoria is open daily from 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m and is located at 180 Grand Ave, St Paul, MN 55102. Their open setting has lots of indoor seating and a few tables outside as well. If you’ve been to Spyhouse Coffee, the atmospheres are similar.
