Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota

Minnesota had the exciting honor of hosting Super Bowl 52 this year! My siblings, cousins and I got in on all the action by heading downtown to Minneapolis to experience the fun Super Bowl LIVE at Nicollet Mall had to offer.

One of my favorite things to check out was ‘Sota Pop. The interactive pop-up experience was presented by Explore Minnesota and shows Minnesota’s full spectrum of fun through a gallery of shareable #OnlyinMN photo ops. Created by local artists, ‘Sota Pop is definitely one of the most Instagrammable spots of the Super Bowl festivities. I loved all the bright colors and Minnesotan cliches.

‘Sota Pop definitely captivated the essence of Minnesota life. I loved putting my name in a star like what is seen all over the iconic Minneapolis concert venue First Avenue.

Another downtown highlight was all the Super Bowl ice sculptures.

At Super Bowl Live we also met a former New England Patriots football player. I, of course, had to ask him if he would be at the big game and who he was cheering for. The obvious answer was the Patriots, but I still had to ask. Which he thought was funny. He was so nice to take the time to take photos and talk with my cousins!

We had a blast! I’m so glad we went to check it out and be a part of our Bold North celebration! Minnesota did one heck of a job hosting this year!
