There are few things I love more than getting to show my favorite people around my favorite city. Recently, I loved having my sister and cousin come visit. We had the best weekend in NYC. We did all the touristy things and I got to show them a glimpse of my New York life.
We ventured out to the High Line. which was so adventurous and fun (even in the rain).
New York City has yet to see any snow, so it was the perfect time to see the long-lasting and extended fall colors. The High Line is an elevated park, greenway and trail on the West side of Manhattan in the midst of the city’s chaos, and it’s absolutely beautiful. The rain made all the green and stunning colors pop.
My sister Abby and cousin Julia are my favorite–they are so full of life, spunk, joy and laughter. There’s never a dull moment around them and having them come visit during a busy semester was so refreshing. I loved having a bit of fam in nyc. Plus, my sister takes the coolest photos:
One of my favorite things that we all did together was the Empire State Building.
There’s nothing like New York views from the 86th floor.
We also walked the Brooklyn Bridge, which is so pretty and right by my apartment.
We had the most beautiful sunset that night and it was absolutely stunning.
That weekend the girls and I walked around Grand Central Station–one of my favorite NYC spots.
We also went to Top of The Rock, an observatory on the top of the Rockefeller Center. We went at dusk and the views of the city were breathtaking.
I love seeing New York City from this point of view. It’s one thing to be fully submersed in the city, and it’s another to take a step back and see it all from up high. It really puts things into perspective and reminds me why I love the city so much.
We then visited Times Square at night.
And to top off an exciting weekend, we went to Black Tap for their crazy awesome yummy milkshakes.
I loved having these girls visit. There’s no adventures like cousin adventures, and I love making memories with them. I’m so glad they were able to come out and see my crazy fun city. Here’s to the next adventure!
