There is nothing more magical than spending Christmas in Walt Disney World. Over my college winter break vacation, my family spent our December holidays down south. We were a little hesitant about visiting Disney during this time because that’s when the parks are expected to be the busiest, but after experiencing it, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. The parks were so joyful and full of holiday cheer, I loved it.
As we walked down Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom, Christmas spirit filled the air. Disney is already the happiest place on earth, but when you mix it with holiday fun and excitement, the energy is infectious.
It was so nice to have our family together for a new family tradition.
It was our first Christmas in warm weather without snow, so to make the experience feel even more like the holiday, we met Disney’s very own Santa. I haven’t gone to take photos with Santa in years so it was quite classic.
I love Disney during the holidays because of the decorations around the park and the Christmas lights on Cinderella’s Castle. It’s stunning at night when it’s all lit up. The fireworks are also spectacular and something you cannot miss if you visit Disney.
So would I recommend switching up your holiday traditions by spending a Christmas in Disney World? Absolutely. Is it extremely busy and are the parks full of people? Maybe. But it’s so worth it and the best.
