My absolute favorite Florida destination will forever be Tradewinds Island Resorts on St. Pete Beach. There is nothing like the endless stretch of the Gulf of Mexico, the white sandy shores, the feel of summer and perfect sun. My family recently spent part of our vacation there and it was the perfect slice of paradise.
As a returner to Tradewinds, I was excited to have this trip to show the rest of my family the adventure, beauty and fun Tradewinds has to offer. We had such an incredible time enjoying our version of a “white” Christmas. Upon our arrival, my family got upgraded to the resort’s penthouse. It was the perfect gift. The killer views from the top floor were breathtaking, the room was spacious and beyond amazing and the experience was nothing short of incredible.
Tradewinds Islands Resorts is made up of two beach resorts. With 25-acres to explore, it’s an awesome beachfront destination. We stayed at Island Grand. There are endless rows of beach cabanas, a giant three-story slide, many pools and hot tubs and more.
I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this sight was in person! I’m still in awe that we had this balcony and view. As in you take in the beach that stretches on forever, you can literally smell the ocean air right from your room. I’m longing to go back already.
My adorable family had a blast at Tradewinds. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and exploration.
My mom and I spent a mother-daughter trip at Tradewinds in 2014 when I won a writing contest for a vacation and conference there hosted by one of my favorite authors. We lowkey wanted to return and take the rest of the family just so we could enjoy the tropical drinks again… OK maybe not entirely for that reason but Tradewinds does have the BEST frozen drinks ever. Nothing like sipping on sunshine during a 80-degree day.
There is so much to see and do on St. Pete Beach! My family spent most of our time at the ocean and enjoying the resort amenities, but we also went deep sea fishing nearby. You can read more about that adventure here.
We adore Tradewinds. Everyone there is so friendly and the resort is top notch. I give our experience a solid 10/10. The penthouse upgrade definitely contributed to that bias :) We look forward to returning soon.
