What does one do on the first official 90 degree day of the summer in Minnesota? They get a group of friends together to hit Valley Fair for a fun day of rollercoastes, waterslides, and adventures… which is exactly what I did, of course. :)

Life tip: Unless you want the ride to be stopped and have an employee personally come all the way to the top of the ride to tell you it’s not allowed, don’t attempt to take photos of the beautiful sunset or selfies during roller coasters at Valley Fair. At least I got my photo.. well kinda ;)

Our nice summer day was topped off by a sudden storm that rolled through Valley Fair. We waited it out and to our surprise it ended up being a beautiful night with a picturesque sunset and an almost empty amusement park to our enjoyment.

Loved carrying on a tradition with my cousins. Every time we hit Valley Fair we hit the ferris wheel at night and take in all the pretty lights.

At the end of the day I mustered up enough courage to tackle this ride with my sister and cousin Julia. The last time I did this ride I made the mistake of doing it first thing when we got there and felt sick for a majority of the day. However this time around I did it at the end of the day and actually enjoyed it. It may not look that crazy but it spins in circles and upside down.
I couldn’t have asked for a cooler group of friends to hit Valley Fair with. It was an adventurous summer day and I had a blast with them.
